This weekly two-hour seminar will critically examine cutting-edge information privacy law issues. Topics to be addressed include digital surveillance, the privacy implications of social networking technologies, consumer privacy, cloud computing, online behavioral advertising, and the role of anonymity in a networked world. We also will examine the nexus between privacy and information security through discussions of encryption, authentication, data breaches, and cybersecurity. English Teplinsky, Branderburg Spring
